Commercial Bed Bug Control
Bed bugs spell disaster for businesses and commercial properties including hotels, medical facilities, and even movie theaters. No matter the size or severity, we’ll eliminate the infestation and stop it from ever coming back.
Our Proven Three-Step Process For Fighting Bed Bugs
Step 1: Visual Bed Bug Inspection
After speaking to a RichPro representative, we’ll send one of our trained service technicians to your home or property for a free bed bug inspection. One of our inspectors will carefully check critical areas, including mattresses, box springs, bed frames, dressers, baseboards, and any other high-traffic areas or sleeping spots.
Because bed bugs are more active at night, finding evidence of infestation during the day can be difficult, which is why we take the time to perform as thorough an inspection as possible.
This inspection will be used to determine whether or not bed bugs are present, and if they are, where they’re hiding and how many you’re dealing with. You’ll then receive a quote based on the size and severity of the infestation.
Step 2: Bed Bug Treatment
After inspection, we develop a specific treatment plan based on your individual situation. With our plan in place, we then thoroughly treat all critical areas identified during the inspection in order to completely eradicate bed bugs using the latest mechanical, steam-based, and chemistry-based solutions available.
Our service professionals use steam to attack the bed bugs hiding in the seams of mattresses and furniture while non-repellent residual insecticides and dusts are applied in the crevices of bed frames, baseboards, wall voids, and other critical areas. The treatment stage requires a minimum of three visits over the course of a month to a month-and-a-half.
First Visit: Using a combination of mechanical, steam-based, and chemical solutions, your technician will fully treat all critical areas of the home to kill any bed bugs present. Live bugs found (usually on mattresses and box springs) will be vacuumed up (don’t worry, we bring our own), furniture like couches, chairs, and mattresses will be steamed, and product will be applied to the bed frame, night stands, and other furniture, under baseboards, and inside any cracks and crevices. Finally, your technician will also install mattress encasements on treated beds.
We strongly recommend installing mattress and box spring encasements to provide long-term preventative measures, to be installed following our initial treatment.
Second Visit: Your technician will return to your property to re-inspect and treat as necessary using the same methods as outlined in the previous section.
Step 3: Bed Bug Re-Inspection
About a month after the second visit, your service technician will return a third time for a final re-inspection (at no cost) before determining what step to take next.

Why Bed Bugs Love People
Bed bugs are parasites that suck the blood of their hosts in order to survive. Unfortunately, the most common bed bug in the US, Cimex lectularius, prefer to feed on humans, and have developed specific traits that make them excellent at breaking into human homes and businesses in search of a meal - earning them the nickname of “nature’s hitchhikers.”
How Did I Get Bed Bugs?
Bed bugs prefer human blood, so naturally, they’ll do anything in their power to live where you live. Their exceptional climbing ability allows them to latch onto clothing, bedding, luggage, furniture, and more. If you’ve recently had friends or family in to visit, or have stayed in a hotel or motel, you might have inadvertently brought a few unwanted house guests inside with you.
Having bed bugs does not necessarily mean you are unclean or unsanitary, as they are almost always brought into an environment from somewhere else. However, this also means that no matter how clean you keep yourself or your home or business, you could still come under attack if you don’t know what to look out for.
I Have Bed Bugs Or Think I Might. What Should I Do?
If you suspect your property is experiencing a bed bug infestation, follow these tips:
Inspect your skin for any signs of bed bugs bites or other skin irritation that could indicate a bed bug infestation. (Keep in mind that different people have different reactions to bed bug bites, and that some people may not even realize they’ve been bitten at all.) Have other members of the household do the same so that you can gauge the extent of the infestation. The more you know about the size and severity of the problem, the better-equipped you’ll be to fight it.
Do not move your clothes or bedding to another room in the house for storage, as this will only aid in helping bed bugs already inside them to spread. Only move infested clothing or bedding items to the laundry room immediately prior to drying them.
Carefully dry your clothes and bedding in a dryer on high heat for 60 to 80 minutes. This should effectively kill all stages of the bed bug currently inside.
However, keep in mind bed bugs can be in other places around your home where you spend a lot of time resting or sleeping. Bed bugs are mostly active at night but will rest during the day in the cracks and crevices of your bed frame, mattress, or box spring, as well as behind baseboards or furniture.
